Deleting your BeeLucy account

Last updated 24 October 2026

You can delete your BeeLucy account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. This page exists so that you can find out how without having the app installed.

In the app

Open BeeLucy and go to Settings → Account → Delete my account. The app confirms twice, then deletes immediately. Nothing is queued and nothing is recoverable.

If you own a baby record that other caregivers share, the app asks you to deal with it first: open Baby details and either hand ownership to one of them or delete the record. Deleting a shared record erases its whole history for every caregiver on it, so it should never happen as a side effect of closing an account. A record only you care for is deleted with your account, along with everything logged on it, because no account would be left that could open it; the app names each one before you confirm.

Deleting your account does not cancel a Premium subscription — the app store bills it, not us. Cancel it there first: on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

By email

If you have already removed the app, email hello@beelucy.com from the address you signed in with, asking us to delete your account. We will confirm and delete it within 30 days, and normally within a few days.

What is deleted

What remains

Entries you logged stay on the baby record they belong to, without your name attached. This is what keeps the other caregivers’ history intact when one person leaves. To remove the entries as well, delete the baby record itself before deleting your account — as its owner you can do that from Baby details.

If you answered the optional “why are you leaving” questions, that answer stays too. It is stored on its own, with nothing that identifies you or links it to the account, and it is deleted after 24 months.

Our database provider keeps encrypted backups on a rolling basis, so a copy of deleted data can persist there for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.

If you bought Premium, the records of that sale that accounting and tax law requires us to keep stay for as long as it requires, and the app store keeps its own record of your purchase under its own policy.
